Lenore Hardman Lint, age 77, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. She had previously fought—and won—her earlier cancer diagnosis in 2020. She received an unexpected diagnosis of a new, aggressive cancer in January 2026. She faced it with the same courage, dignity, and determination that defined her entire life.

Lenore was born on June 6, 1948, in Kimberly, Idaho, to Roy and Lola Hardman. In the 1950s, her family moved to Erda, Utah, where she grew up and developed lifelong connections with family and community. She graduated from Tooele High School.

On September 7, 1969, Lenore married the love of her life, Jay Lint. Their marriage, which lasted 53 years until his passing on June 22, 2023, was shaped by dedication and perseverance. Together, they raised three children and built a life grounded in commitment to family.

Lenore is survived by her children: Korie (Roger Lister) Lint, Stacey (Jim) Schofield, and Jesse Lint; her grandchildren: Agustus (Kiera) Schofield, Adison (Clayton Starnes) Schofield, and Teagen (Wyatt Wollesen) Lint; and her great-grandchildren: Harlow and Haizel Graves (Mom was so excited to have these little ones in our lives).

Lenore is also survived by her brother, Clint (Jackie) Hardman; Jay’s surviving brothers and sisters, all of whom she cherished; and many beloved nieces and nephews across several generations, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, Jay; her parents, Roy and Lola; her brother, DelRoy; and her sisters, Luana Hardman and Darlene Thompson.

Lenore’s career began with evening work as a meat cutter at Albertson’s.

She entered federal service in 1978 at Tooele Army Depot in the Finance and Accounting Office, continuing there until its closure in the mid-1990s.

She completed her career with the United States Postal Service, retiring after 12 years and a total of 30 years in federal service. Despite the demands of full-time work, Lenore remained deeply involved in her children’s lives, making time for horse shows, rodeos, school events, and every milestone that mattered.

A woman of many interests and talents, Lenore was an avid reader, a devoted bingo player, and a skilled needleworker who passed the arts of quilting, crocheting, and embroidery to her granddaughters. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Chapter Guardian for several years with Tooele Bethel No. 13, Job’s Daughters, where she built cherished friendships and guided young women in service and leadership.

Recently, Lenore greatly enjoyed being a member of the Senior Circle at Mountain West Medical Center and looked forward to their weekly gatherings, which brought her comfort, joy, and companionship before her diagnosis

Lenore had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved. Her home became the center of family life—a place where her children and all of their cousins made their favorite childhood memories.

Dutch oven dinners, family gatherings around the kitchen table, camping trips, and spontaneous road trips were woven into the fabric of their lives because of her. In her later years, she especially enjoyed her trips to Wendover with her children.

These outings were full of laughter and created memories she held close, and even though she made only one trip in 2026, she cherished it deeply.

Graveside services will be held on May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery.

Immediately afterward, we will honor Lenore in true “Mom” fashion with one last trip to Wendover, Nevada—a joyful Celebration of Life, just the way she would have wanted it.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join us for laughter, memories, and a day filled with the spirit she loved so much.
